Born in India, Vineet holds a master’s degree in fine arts from the prestigious college of arts, Delhi and is now considered among the top twenty street photographers in the world. Vineet Vohra is a self-taught photographer and street photography is the passion that he lives like a discipline. Vohra started shooting as a wildlife photographer but turned his lens to the street in 2001. He instantly felt a new passion next to nature. To Vineet, street photography is a journey to be travelled daily. He feels a there is a continuous degree of learning and unlearning and always seeks improvement. Life, in general, is so unexpected, expresses Vineet, “I try to be as honest through my lens as I can. I try to synthesise between human elements and the environment while maintaining focus on how to make ordinary moments look extraordinary.” In 2011 Vineet Vohra formed Art Photo Feature (APF) along with his brother, Rohit, who is also a street photographer. APF is born from an education imperative, it’s an evolving magazine that seeks to recognize fresh talent. The intent is to provide a platform for emerging photographers, artists, and designers to showcase their works, works that are not necessarily commercial, in order to create opportunities and open new doors. The subjects explored are broad, in terms of concepts, styles, and techniques. “We want to explore the limits and the possibilities,” says Vineet. Vineet is a Leica Ambassador and conducts Leica Akademie workshops in Singapore and New York at the Leica Galleries.
